After a long and
thorough nationwide search, Kentucky Youth Soccer Association Adrian Parrish
was appointed the State Director of Coach and Player Development in October

A native of Louth,
England, Parrish comes with an extensive playing and coaching background.
Currently he possesses a USSF ‘A’ coaching license, “UEFA” B, and a National
Youth License. Parrish is familiar with all levels of youth soccer and has
over 10 years of coaching and administrative experience from recreational to
professional players in both England and the United States.
Parrish
played extensively at the youth level with Boston United, where he captained
the team. After suffering a career ending injury attempting to break through
as player in the professional ranks, Adrian opted to remain in the game by
starting a soccer coaching career. His career included serving as the
Grimsby Town Football Club (Currently in English Division 2) Youth
Development Officer, making him one of the youngest full-time professional
coaches in all the English Soccer Leagues.
In June 2000, Parrish
moved to the United States where he served as the National Assistant
Director of Coaching for Britannia Soccer USA and as the Director of
Coaching for Great Falls Soccer Club, in the Washington DC metro area.
Parrish continued to
play at a high level during his time in the Northern Virginia area with
Dynamo’s FC. The team was successful on several occasions in winning the
Men’s Open Cup and Region 1 tournament’s during his career with the
team.
Before
becoming the State’s third full-time Director of Coaching, Parrish lived and
worked as the club Director of Coaching for Amherst Soccer Association. Also
during his time in Western New York he was a Head Olympic Development
Program Coach and a Coach Education Instructor where he gained experience in
leading and teaching US Soccer and US Youth Soccer coaching courses, youth
modules, training sessions, clinics and symposiums.
While in the Buffalo,
Parrish gained college coach experience as the Assistant Men’s Coach for
Buffalo State College
Parrish has objectives
to build the game of soccer in the state from the recreational level through
to ODP and make sure that his knowledge and experience at all levels are
shared to offer the best coaching service to clubs, coaches, players,
parents.
Adrian has recently
accepted a coaching position with Region 2 Olympic Development Program and
was named joint head coach for the
