The Kentucky Youth Soccer State Office will be
closed in honor of the year end holidays from December 24th
thru January 2nd. The office will re-open on Monday,
January 5th, with normal business hours.

Youth Soccer is accepting nominations for the Goal and Save of
the Year Awards that will be presented at the US Youth Soccer
Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the US Youth Soccer
adidas Workshop in San Jose, Calif.
Please send an unedited, original video clip sent in a
.mov (Quicktime) file format burned to a data DVD/CD or a
miniDV, DVCam tape or DVD cued to specific goal or
save. Any US Youth Soccer player in the Under-6 through
Under-18 age groups may be nominated for either award.
The US Youth Soccer Competitive and Recreational Coach of
the Year, Administrator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and
Young Referee of the Year will also be awarded at the US Youth
Soccer Awards Gala. For the US Youth Soccer adidas

Youth Soccer is dedicated to developing and raising the level
of coaching education for all youth soccer coaches across the
state. Kentucky Youth Soccer's goal is to have every child
coached by a qualified and trained coach to maximize his/her
soccer experience. Whether you have been coaching for 20
years or 20 minutes, each course is designed to meet the
changing needs of today's game. The winter months
are a great time to dive into coaching education, so please
check out the information in the two links
below.

Registration Deadline Coming |
US Youth Soccer is celebrating its 35th year in 2009 and
the celebration begins at  the
US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop in San Jose, Calif., March
5-7, 2009. Registration opens today where over 3,000 soccer
coaches, administrators, referees and enthusiasts are expected
at the organization's annual convention held this year at the
San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Register
before December 15 and save 50 percent ($100) on the cost of
admission to the 2009 US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop in San
Jose, Calif., which includes the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala
and After Party hosted by adidas.

 In
its third season, The US Youth Soccer Show covered stories
from across the nation of people making a difference in the
lives of others while playing the world's game. The Best of
The US Youth Soccer Show airs this Friday, December 5 at 2
p.m. ET on Fox Soccer Channel. The Best of Show kicks off by
sharing a story of strength, faith and changing lives. Three
brothers that play for Lexington FC, out of Kentucky, tell
their epic story of escape from the war-torn Democratic
Republic of the Congo.
