Youth Soccer will host more than 3,100 players from 176 teams from all
corners of the Commonwealth as they compete in the US Youth Soccer
Kentucky State Open Cup May 22-25 at Masterson
Station Park
in Lexington.
The tournament will feature 92 boys and 84 girls' teams ranging in age
from Under-13 to Under-19. The play will feature round robin format
in each division with the winners of each group advancing to the
"Championship Weekend" May 30-31 at Masterson
Station Park
in Lexington.
All of the schedules and scores can be viewed here.
The winners of the U-13 through U-19 age groups will qualify
for the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships June 19-24 at
Yankton Trails Park Complex in Sioux
Falls, South Dakota.
Regional Championship winners of the Under-14 through Under-19 brackets
earn a berth at the 2009 US Youth Soccer National Championships July
21-26 at Citizens Bank Field at Progin
Park in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

With school ending and summer beginning shortly, why not
spend some free time at a Kentucky Youth Soccer Player Development
Camp.
REGISTRATION

WEEK prior top the start of the camp.
Register now as spaces are filling up quickly.
Our player development camps offer a week long curriculum
for those that who wish to learn more fundamental techniques and tactics
necessary to play the game. In addition, players will be given the
opportunity to learn elite dribbling skills; perfect their passing
ability; score stunning goals and develop their whole game in preparation
for the fall season. All locations will offer camps for both recreational
and select players.

2009 Eurosport Cup
Re-Scheduled

Moved from Owensboro to Lexington
|
Due to unable field conditions due to the large amounts of
rain in Owensboro
this spring, the 2009 Eurosport Cup locations and dates can be
moved. The preliminary weekend will be played on May 30-31 in the Lexington area with the
competition split between Masterson
Station Park
in Lexington and Woodford Youth Soccer
Complex in Versailles.
The semifinals and finals will be played on June 6 at Masterson Station
Park in Lexington.
All game times will stay the same as original schedule for Owensboro and the
updated field numbers can be found at Match Schedules. We
appreciate everyone's patience and understanding the last
week.

Youth Soccer is now accepting nominations for the awards to be presented
at the 2009 Kentucky
Youth Soccer Annual General Meeting August 8. Kentucky Youth Soccer
recognizes who give of their time and efforts to the organization by way
of service. The following awards will be presented:

Competitive and Recreational Coach of the
Year

Male and Female Young Referee of the Year
·
Administrator of the Year
·
Volunteer of the Year
·
Parent of the Year
All
nominations will be need to be completed online by June 15, 2009.
