Activities |
Elizabethtown
Youth Soccer is hosting the 3rd Annual Round Robin
Festival April 5th, 2008 at the Pritchard
Community Center in E-town. This full day of fun will
include face painting, popcorn soccer, soccer bowling and
much, much more. This event is open to all special needs
family and please note everyone will need to register no later

Kohl's American Registration to Open
March 6th |

Oldham County to Host
Recreational
Tournament |
Kentucky Youth
Soccer, along with Oldham County Youth Soccer will host the
Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup, the largest recreational
youth soccer festival in the United States at Buckner Soccer
Complex June 7-8 and June 14-15.
The Kohl's
American Cup offers youth soccer players an opportunity to
play in a high-quality tournament in a fun atmosphere. The Kohl's American
Cup was started as an avenue to highlight recreational
soccer players and promote fair play.

Kohls' Scholarship
Program |
Do you
know a special child who has made a difference in his or her
community? Annually February 1 through March 15 the Kohl's
Kids Who Care® Scholarship Program gives you the chance to
acknowledge those contributions! This year Kohl's plans
to recognize more than 1,900 youth ages 6-18 who have
volunteered to make a difference in their communities with
over $300,000 in scholarships and prizes.

State and Eurosport Registration

Kentucky State Cup Records 180
Teams |
Registration closed on March 1st for the Kentucky State
Cup and Eurosport Challenge Cup tournaments, where
a record 180 teams have signed up for State Cup and 90
teams for the Eurosport Cup. These teams
will compete for state championship titles later this
spring.
The 2008 Kentucky Youth Soccer State Open Cup Draw
will be March 5 at 6:30pm at Kentucky Indoor &
Sports, 404 Sporting Court, Lexington, KY 40503.
Please note the event will be open to only ONE representative
per team. We would encourage any clubs with multiple
registered teams to limit the number of representatives for
the entire club.

Awards Program to be
Launched March 10th |

The 2008 Kentucky Youth
Soccer Awards Program will begin taking on-line nominations on
March 10th. Willingness to promote players and soccer,
sound moral and ethical character and increasing the
opportunities to participate in soccer are all characteristics
of nominees for the awards programs. All application
forms must be completed by June 15, 2007 and must be completed
on-line. Each winner will be announced and recognized at
the Annual General Meeting in August, and then sent to US
Youth Soccer for consideration of Regional and National

Kentucky Youth Soccer has been preparing a handbook for member
associations that they can used to assists coaches to be their
best by providing information on how to appropriately coach
players at each age and level of development. Now the handbook
is available on line to help parent as well to learn the game
and be help their player at home to practice on their
own.
