The Kentucky Soccer Association is the premier soccer organization dedicated to participation in, enjoyment and growth of adult soccer across the state of Kentucky. Region II Tournament of Champions
The 2011 Region 2 Tournament of Champions features the state and league championship teams in seven competitive categories from the Midwest Region's 14 state associations incuding several teams from Kentucky that did well. Congratulations.

New 6v6 Outdoor League
Louisville Soccer recently started an adult 6 v 6 outdoor league. The league runs 8 weeks per session with spring, summer and fall sessions available. The men’s league will be on Monday nights and the women’s league will be on Thursday nights with all games at the Soccer Park. All games are played on a 50 x 80 yard field (u11 – u12 size) so the games are small sided with 5 field players and a goalie.
Kentucky native hopes professional tryout continues soccer career
University of Dayton senior Lindy Barber will move one step closer toward fulfilling a lifelong dream by trying out for a semi-professional soccer team next week. She will take the next step in her long soccer career in a tryout audition for the Dayton Dutch Lions football club on Saturday, Feb. 5. The club competes in the United Soccer League and plays a 10-game schedule between April and July, a potentially fitting transition for the always competitive UD student.
River City Rovers
The River City Rovers have announced combine/tryout dates for the newly-formed Premier Development League team. The Rovers will be made up of approximately 26 male players, ages 17-30, and will showcase the best and brightest local players who currently play for their respective club and college soccer teams, nationwide. The River City Rovers tryouts will be held January 7-9, 2011. Online Registration.
Kentucky Team Headed to Nationals
The United States Adult Soccer Association Region II Cups Finals took place June 18 – 20 at Gaelic Park in Oak Forest, Illinois just outside Chicago. Kentucky sent two teams, the Kentucky Wanderers in the Women’s Open and Louisville Soccer Alliance in the Men’s Under 23’s.

Pat Smith Award
United States Adult Soccer Association Regional Director Bruni Trapikas recently announced that Kentucly's own Brian Darling was names as the 2010 recipient of the Pat Smith Award - the award will be presented in conjunction with the Regiona Cups Finals in suburban Chicago June 18 - 20. Parrish to lead Regional Coaching Efforts
Kentucky Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Adrian Parrish was recently selected today to serve on USASA’s Coaching Development Committee in an announcement made by Regional Director Bruno Trapikas. Parrish, recipient of USASA’s Regional Coach of the Year
Award in 2009, will be working closely with Aleks Mihailovic, National Chairman of the Coaching Development Committee, in a revitalized effort to develop expanded licensing of coaches at the Adult level. Click here to read the entire release.
