Kentucky Youth Soccer ODP Teams Compete in Alabama The Kentucky Youth Soccer 91, 92 & 93 Boys and Girls teams recently attended the Southeast College Showcase hosted by Alabama Youth Soccer Association at the Jack Allen Soccer Complex, Decatur, AL. This was the first time in the state association history that ODP team players and alternates were able to play together in a tournament prior to attending regional camp over the summer. All the teams conducted themselves with great professionalism both on and off the field, and had the opportunity to play against some high level competition including a youth team from a professional club in Mexico.

Several of the players representing Kentucky Youth Soccer Association were scouted and observed by colleges and universities from around the country as well as the Raydos FC whom were victories over the 1992 Boys by 2-0 were impressed with players from the state teams and will be looking to invite them in for a try-out at the club in the near future.

Adrian Parrish, Director of Coach & Player Development, stated “That he was extremely pleased with how the Olympic Development Program has progressed over the last couple of years. This was evident with the quality of play by all the teams who showed well against some very strong competition”
On behalf of Kentucky Youth Soccer Association we would like to thank the administrators, coaches, parents, players and clubs for the continuous support

2007/2008 State ODP Team Members and Alternates Selected

Kentucky Youth Soccer Association would like to thank all the players who participated in this season’s Olympic Development Program. Every single player that registered has contributed in making the program improve from the state through to the national level. It is our aim to keep developing and working with the most elite players so that we can continue to compete at the regional and national level. Obviously not every player can represent Kentucky Youth Soccer Association but without your hard work and dedication in helping each other develop it would not be possible to offer such a successful program.

On behalf of Kentucky Youth Soccer Association we would like to congratulate all of the players named in the final squad or as an alternate. This is only the start of what could be a very successful career if you continue to show the willingness and attitude to develop as a player. Please remember that if you are named as an alternate you are still heavily involved in the program and may have the opportunity to represent Kentucky Youth Soccer Association at the US Youth Soccer Region II Camp/Tournament in July.

If you do not wish to accept the position on the roster or as an alternate please contact Adrian Parrish by Thursday March 27th 2008. If your name is not on the list a player evaluation will be mailed to you after April 2nd 2008.
