Where do I go to complete risk management?
Kentucky Youth Soccer has to manually initiate the risk management process for individuals after they are in the system. Once the process is initiated, the individual will receive an email prompting them to go through the risk management process. It can take up to 24 hours for the individual to receive their email. If they do not receive that email for some reason, they would be able to log directly into Demosphere and follow the instructions to complete risk management.

What is Player's Health and who has access to the dashboard?
Player's Health is the risk management dashboard where all individuals will complete their risk management process. Kentucky Youth Soccer utilizes this dashboard to see what components of risk management coaches have not completed.
The individual completing the risk management process can also log back into the dashboard to see if they are missing anything related to risk management. If their screen doesn't show anything as incomplete when they are in the Player's Health dashboard, then they have done everything they need to do at that time.
Club admin access to Player's Health: If you or someone from your club is interested in club admin access to Players Health risk management dashboard, please email Lisa Duvall, lisaduvall@kysoccer.net. To have access, you must be a current club administrator, listed in the club officials tab in Demosphere for the current seasonal year, and completed your own risk management process. Once we verify you are eligible to have access, we will follow up with next steps. This access will allow the club administrator to see what component of risk management an individual is missing.
How often does Kentucky Youth Soccer initiate the risk management process?
Kentucky Youth Soccer initiates the risk management process at least one time a day each business day, but we try to do so on a more frequent basis if possible.
As a club registrar, I added my coaches and team managers to the system but they still aren't able to complete risk management. Why can they not access the process?
There are a few reasons this could be happening.
- If you use online registration but you have not approved the volunteer to hold a team staff role in your club system, they will not show up in the state system for risk management.
- The club has not synced the information to the state system. Click here for instructions on how to sync a team to the state system. Please note you do not have to sync the team to a specific league/competition. That can be left blank.
- The individual has duplicate accounts and they are trying to access risk management with a different account than the one associated with risk management. Please contact the state office to merge the duplicate accounts.
What all is involved in the risk management process?
Individuals will have to complete a Covid-19 waiver, a background check registration, and the SafeSport training.
How long does the SafeSport training take to complete?
The initial training takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. The refresher courses take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Please note that these times can vary by individual.
I already completed SafeSport training but with a different email address. Do I have to retake the training?
No, individuals can enter the SafeSport completion code located at the bottom of their certificate into the system when they are prompted to complete that section. If the code does not work, please make sure the certificate is still valid. Safe Sport training is good for one year from the date of completion and then the refresher courses must be completed.
If the certificate is valid but the code still isn't working, please contact your club administrator. The state office will work with your club to get the information updated in the risk management dashboard. Please be sure to send a copy of the certificate via email to your club administrator.
I completed my risk management but I am still not showing as approved in Demosphere. When will I be approved?
It can take up to 72 business hours for risk management approval to come through. This is due to a variety of factors including how long it takes for the Safe Sport training to sync to the risk management dashboard and how long it takes for the background check to process and come back as approved. If it takes longer than 72 business hours, please contact the state office.
Will I get a notification when one of the components of my risk management expires?
Yes, individuals receive a notification the day before something expires as well as the day of expirations and reminders afterward if it has not been updated.
Do players participating on Kentucky Youth Soccer teams that are 18 years old and older need to complete a background check or the SafeSport training?
Yes, effective January 1, 2022, US Soccer Federation is requiring Adult Athletes to complete a background check and SafeSport training. “Adult Athletes” are defined as an “Adult Participant” and are athletes who are 18 years of age or older who have regular contact participating on teams with “Minor Athletes” (this includes, but is not limited to training, scrimmages, games, etc.).
As an adult athlete, if I completed the background check and SafeSport training but I am not showing as approved to play, what are my next steps?
Please remember it can take a few days for the SafeSport training to sync into the Player's Health dashboard. If it still isn't showing up after a few days, please email a copy of the SafeSport completion certificate to state office.
