FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bowling Green, Kentucky – Kentucky Youth Soccer is thrilled to announce that the BGFC Lions 2006 Boys have earned the prestigious opportunity to compete in the National League P.R.O. event in Tampa, Florida, from February 23-25, 2024.
“We are immensely proud of the BGFC Lions 2006 Boys for reaching this stage,” said Kris Zander, Kentucky Youth Soccer Executive Director. “This is a testament to their hard work and dedication on and off the field. We wish them the best of luck, and we’re confident they will represent Kentucky with distinction.”
The National League P.R.O. features the cream of the crop, bringing together top-performing teams from both the Elite 64 Playoffs and the Conference Playoffs within the National League. This event serves as a gathering of the best teams from both club-based and team-based formats, making it a pinnacle in youth soccer competition.
“For our team this is a tremendous opportunity to prove ourselves against the best clubs in the country! We are a new club with under 200 kids and we have earned the chance to reach the national tournament competing at the highest level of youth soccer”, said Even Sutherland, BGFC Technical Director. “Our players have used the last 3 years of competing in NL Pro and understand the quality that each performance must have to earn your way through. We are so excited to step on the pitch in Tampa!”
The National League P.R.O. not only showcases the highest level of competition but also serves as a pathway to further opportunities. A victory for the BGFC Lions would secure a bid to play at the USYS State Cup Nationals, adding an extra layer of significance to their journey.
As the team embarks on this exciting adventure, the entire Kentucky Youth Soccer community rallies behind them. Best of luck to the BGFC Lions 2006 Boys as they take the field and make Kentucky proud!
